Executive journals, 1891-1895.

These journals document Governor John Young Brown's official actions which include appointing and accepting resignations from civil officials; granting pardons and reprieves, and remitting fines; approving expenditures; communicating with the General Assembly; and approving and rejecting legislation. Also included is the August 1892 proclamation by the governor recalling the General Assembly into session, with his reasons for doing so; and transcripts of House and Senate bills with the governor's reasons for not approving them.
